Performsinglepick is a C++ library that generates pick slips automatically from periodic
functions. In addition, it can be used to set parameters like the Periodic function flag, the
maximum number of objects to pick, and the exclusion of specified postal codes from pick slip
generation. To learn how performsinglepick works, read on. This article explains how to use
performsinglepick in your own C++ program.
Pre-generated picks
WSPS is a process that allows you to generate and print pick slips. This process allows you to
select the pre-generated picks that you want to fulfill and print based on specified criteria.
These pre-generated picks do not require manual authorization, and they save you time and
money. However, you must set up the WSPS process before you can use it. The following
instructions will show you how to perform pick slip generation using WSPS.
Unlike other database systems, Pick uses no data typing. All data is stored as characters,
including decimal digits. This means that integrity is maintained automatically. Furthermore,
you don’t have to worry about fragmented documents. Pick uses intra-record integrity. It also
doesn’t use a database lock. Because of this, picking programs are designed to run fast and
efficiently. This ensures that Pick will always be ready for a new job.
Periodic function flag
When evaluating the Periodic function flag in Performs Single Pick, one must first consider
what it means. Essentially, a periodic function is a sequence of values that repeats at regular
intervals, such as every four clock cycles. However, this definition is not to be confused with
the more common aperiodic function. Trigonometric functions, for example, repeat at intervals
of two p displaystyle 2pi radians. The underlying math describes the periodicity of these
values.
Excluding specified postal codes from pick slip generation
You can exclude certain postal codes from pick slip generation. If you have a postal code
range between 01801 and 01581, you can choose to exclude orders for that area from the pick
slip generation process. If you choose to exclude all orders shipped to the specified zip code
range, the system will still generate a pick slip for each order in the range. This way, you can
ensure that all orders shipped to the specified postal code range are properly handled.
If you want to exclude specified postal codes from pick slip generation, you can enter these
values on the Add/Change screen. Enter these values in the Item to… Include/Exclude field.
Click OK to exit the screen and save the changes. You can specify up to 100 orders per batch.
You can also release a hold on an order by clicking Release Held Orders. This method will
prevent the creation of a pick slip with the wrong address.
You can exclude certain postal codes from pick slip generation by setting a periodic function
that uses the postal code’s number. This function must be unique for each company. The
system will automatically create a pick slip generation template with this periodic function and
display it to you. During pick slip generation, you can also select pre-generated picks based
on a particular ZIP code. Once you’ve done that, you can choose the appropriate pick slip
generation template.
Another way to exclude certain postal codes is to set the Selected field in the pick slip
template to Yes or Excl. This option lets you define the states to include or exclude. The
Selected States field will display on the pick slip generation screen. By default, Yes indicates
that the pick slip generation process should include the specified zip code. Otherwise, it
should exclude the specified zip code. This way, you’ll ensure that every single pick slip has
the correct address.
